A push-button brake locks the lead at any length, so a dog can range out on a quiet path and be held short the moment traffic or people appear.
This lead extends to 5 metres of nylon webbing tape from a compact ABS housing, giving a dog room to explore without the constant back-and-forth of a fixed-length lead. A 360° rotating mount at the housing keeps the tape from twisting into knots as a dog moves around, and a push-button mechanism both pauses the tape mid-walk and locks it at a fixed length when needed.
The handle is finished in a TPE grip material for a secure hold in wet weather, and a metal spring-loaded clip attaches to any standard collar or harness ring. It's rated for dogs up to 25kg, covering most small and medium breeds comfortably.
It suits everyday walks where a dog benefits from some freedom to sniff and explore, with the control to bring them back in close whenever the situation calls for it.
